About this list
The list of women at risk of execution is not complete. The real number of women facing a death sentence or a capital charge is higher, because many cases are never made public, and we list only a name that has a source. Most names on this page come from HRANA with 22 cases; followed by iranintl.com with 19 and the Iran Human Rights Society with 17 cases, and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network with 6 cases. Every name has at least one source, but some rest on only one report, and the situation of these women may have changed since the latest report. For 18 people, details of their life have been recorded. If you have more recent news about the situation of one of these 44 women, or if details here are incorrect, share it with us.
