The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) Hormozgan Provincial Command is a sub-division of the EU-listed IRGCN. The IRGCN has assumed control of the Strait of Hormuz and implemented a toll system in the Strait whereby vessels are required to provide identifying documentation as well as cargo and destination information to intermediaries who then pass the information on to the Hormozgan Provincial Command.— European Union (official text)
