Two nights of Dey
The day 18 Dey 1404 with 11 names is the heaviest day for Andisheh, and 19 Dey 1404 with 7 names comes after it. The youngest person on this page was 17 years old and the oldest 65, and the median of the ages is 34 years. 1 person was under 18 years of age. In the sources of this page it is not clearly written of anyone that they were a woman, although there is a woman among the names, such as Neda Ghasemi; this number is only what the data of the sources has recorded.
Some of those who appear in this list with the city of Andisheh, according to the sources, were killed elsewhere: one in Haft Hoz in Tehran, one in Ashrafi Esfahani and one in the protests in Shahriar. The others lost their lives in the phases of Shahrak-e Andisheh.
Shahrak-e Andisheh
Neda Ghasemi, 34 years old, a sales assistant at the “Ofogh Kourosh” store, had lost her mother in childhood and her father at the age of fifteen. According to the source, her daughter has now lost her mother at exactly the same age. She was killed on Thursday, 18 Dey 1404, in Shahrak-e Andisheh by two military rounds from behind to the head and was buried the next day in Abhar next to her father's grave. On her gravestone is written: “As far as I remember, this soil always called out that a good day will come.”
Alireza Salmani, 27 years old, who had done his military service, finished university and held an engineering degree, was hit by four military rounds on the same night in Phase One of Shahrak-e Andisheh. According to the source, his family searched among many bags in the Kahrizak morgue to find his body. Alireza Moghaddasi Nikou, 21 years old, an IT student at Semnan University and a kickboxing champion, died before reaching the hospital. Seyed Milad Hosseini, a Yarsan Kurd from Kerend-e Dalahu who had learned argon welding, was killed by a military round and birdshot; the sources give his age as 18 or 27.
Ali Imani, 65 years old, father of two children and the oldest name on this page, was killed on Friday, 19 Dey, in Phase 3 of Shahrak-e Andisheh, on Ferdowsi Street at the corner of Roudaki, by a military round to the back and side. His body was found among the black bags of the Kahrizak forensic centre.
People of Andisheh elsewhere

He was killed on the evening of 18 Dey near Haft Hoz Square in Tehran by shots to the heart and head, and his body was left in the courtyard of Al-Ghadir Hospital; his family learned of it two days later. Mohammad Jamshidi, a former boxer and boxing coach at the Olympic Village and father of two children aged 8 and 13, was killed in Ashrafi Esfahani in Tehran by two bullets. Moein Basiri, 21 years old, a psychology student who ran a barbershop and was a fan of Persepolis and Real Madrid, lost his life in the protests in Shahriar. He has been quoted as saying: “Dad, we have no youth; something has to happen for us to be set free.”
About the sources and the incompleteness of this list
These 30 names are not all of the victims from Andisheh; the real number is higher, and we record only a name for which we have a source. The largest share of the sources for this page is held by HRANA / Human Rights Activists in Iran with 24 cases and Iran International with 22 cases; followed by iranhrs.org with 10 and IranWire with 8 cases. 4 names also appear in a list that the Office of the Presidency published on 12 Bahman 1404. Every name has at least one source, but some only one. For 9 people a description of their life is available. If you knew one of the victims from Shahrak-e Andisheh, send us your memory or correction.
