Dey 1404 in Neyshabur
The day 19 Dey 1404 with 12 killed and the day 18 Dey 1404 with 6 killed are the bitterest days of Neyshabur on this list. In the same year the executions also continued; the day 20 Bahman 1404 has two names. The ages range from 3 to 47 years, and the median is 29 years. 5 of these 74 people were under 18; the youngest of them a 3-year-old child. The sources have written of 13 people that they were women.
Ziba Dastjerdi
Ziba Dastjerdi was 33 years old. The source writes: “Ziba was also the mother of an eight-year-old daughter.” In the protests of 19 Dey 1404 in Neyshabur, according to the source, she “was killed by the shooting of agents while she was three months pregnant.” An eight-year-old girl lost her mother, and a child who had not yet been born was never born.
Amirmohammad Khayyat and Amirreza Rajaei
Amirmohammad Khayyat, 22 years old, was an athlete; the source writes: “He had more than 20 first, second and third places in provincial club competitions.” On 18 Dey 1404 he was killed by two bullets around Khayyam Square in Neyshabur and was buried on 20 Dey in “Behesht-e Fazl” in Neyshabur. According to the source, a state body afterwards offered his family to pay for the grave and the gravestone in exchange for accepting the official account.
Amirreza Rajaei, 29 years old, was a boxer. Those close to him say: “Amirreza was a stalwart, noble and enthusiastic young man and was active in the sport of boxing.” A bullet struck his abdomen. According to witnesses, he lost consciousness in the hospital, went into the operating room a few hours later, and the family were told he was doing well, but at five in the morning the news of his death arrived. He was buried in his birthplace, the village of Abdollahabad in Zebarkhan.
Those executed
More than half of the names from Neyshabur belong to those executed, but our sources have written only one line for most of them. Ahmad Karami, 37 years old, who was executed on 1 Shahrivar 1401, was “the father of one child.” Houshang Amiri, 46 years old, who was executed on 2 Dey 1404, was “the father of two children”; only a few days before the streets of Neyshabur became bloody. The charge attributed to each of them is the account of the authorities, not a verdict of their guilt.
