«بهروز تنها پذیرفته بود که چند سالی است هوادار پژاک شده است، اما نه هیچ‌گاه عضو مسلح این حزب بوده و نه در هیچ عملیات مسلحانه‌ای مشارکت کرده است.... در هنگام بازداشت هیچ سلاحی از وی کشف نشده و تنها برای اینکه ادله کافی برای اثبات قتل دادستان در اختیار نداشتند این اتهام را به او وارد کردند.»
