This page keeps the memory of 94 people who were killed in Fardis, in the province of Alborz. Only one fate is recorded in the list for Fardis: all of these 94 people lost their lives in protests. The first date on this page is 25 Aban 1398 and the last 19 Dey 1404. But most of these names belong to only two days: 18 Dey 1404 with 36 killed and 19 Dey 1404 with 27 killed.
Two nights in Fardis
The year 1404, with 76 names, makes up more than four fifths of this page. Before that, in Aban 1398, Fardis lost 16 people: 6 people on 25 Aban 1398, 6 people on 26 Aban 1398 and one person on 27 Aban 1398. The year 1401 also has 2 names. The names that recur in the sources are the Second Square and the Fourth Square of Fardis, the Abresani intersection and Behesht-e Sakineh in Karaj.
The ages range from 2 to 68 years, and the median is 30 years. 9 of these 94 people were under 18; the youngest of them a 2-year-old child. The sources have written of 5 people that they were women. For 15 people we have details of their life.
Yalda, Arya and Abolfazl
Yalda Mohammadkhani, 16 years old, was “an outstanding eleventh-grade student of animation” and “dreamed of becoming an animator in the future.” The source writes that, struck by several military bullets from a sniper, she “lost her life in her mother's arms.” Another source says she “was killed while holding her father's hand.”
Arya Shoghi Tokmehdash, 17 years old, a mechanic, was killed by a military bullet on the evening of 18 Dey 1404 at the Second Square of Fardis while returning from work. His family were sent to Kachouei Prison to look for him, and only on 23 Dey were they told that they had to go to Behesht-e Sakineh. Abolfazl Yaghmouri, 17 years old, “had just started rapping”; according to the source, after a bullet to his heart, because no one was allowed to tend to him, he died in the street after 40 minutes of bleeding.
Lives
Milad Bahadori, 34 years old, had been raised by his mother alone. He had told his friends: “We don't want to do anything, we just want to walk.” Zeynab Ahmadi, 44 years old, who had lived alone since the death of her father and mother and had two dogs, was hit by a bullet in the leg at the Fourth Square and, because she was not allowed to reach a hospital, lost her life from bleeding.
