How they died

During the popular protests of Dey 1404 in the cities of Rasht and Mashhad, two Kurdish citizens from the towns of Barehsar and Shirvan, named Mohammad Karbalaei and Samad Ahmadi Barsari, were killed by shooting of the military-security forces of the Islamic Republic and by live ammunition.

After several days of searching at Behesht-e Reza in Mashhad, his family received his body and on 25 Dey 1404 buried him at Behesht-e Rezvan in Mashhad." Also, an informed source in Rasht reported the death of a Kurdish citizen from the town of Barehsar and resident of Rasht: "Samad Ahmadi was killed on the evening of 18 Dey 1404 during the popular protests in Rasht by shooting of the military-security forces of the Islamic Republic and a live round hitting his head.

His body was handed over to the family on 20 Dey 1404 after a pledge was taken not to hold a memorial service, but despite the threats the family held the burial ceremony on 21 Dey 1404 in the town of Barehsar, Rudbar County.
