Ariana Arjamandi, 23 years old, a psychology student, was killed on Thursday, 18 Dey 1404, in the protests in "Borujerd" by direct shooting of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic.

Ariana Arjamandi, a 23-year-old young man, was killed on Thursday, 18 Dey 1404, in the protests in Borujerd by a direct shot from the oppressors into his heart from close range. The oppressors of the Islamic Republic did not hand over his body for four days and nights and, pressuring the family, demanded that they present their child as a "martyr" killed by protesters and also bury him in the city of Fasa. The family opposed all these conditions and their wish was, even at the cost of forgoing the receipt of their child's body, to present him as he was, namely a young protester who believed in freedom. In the end his body was buried in the first hours of the morning of Monday, 22 Dey 1404, in Borujerd Cemetery, with a number of family members and a number of security forces present, amid his mother's cries for justice. Ariana was a psychology student and a young man who loved reading books. Alongside his studies he was learning German and intended to go to Germany for a master's degree. According to Hengaw, Ariana was a gay man and a few months before his state killing had spoken with a number of his trusted friends about his gender identity. In his personal life he faced many hardships of queerphobia, but was trying to move towards disclosing his sexual identity and wanted others, at the right time, to know him by his true identity.

آریانا ارجمندی، جوان ۲۳ ساله، در پنج‌شنبه ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در اعتراضات بروجرد، با شلیک مستقیم سرکوب‌گران به قلبش از فاصله‌ای نزدیک به قتل رسید. سرکوبگران جمهوری اسلامی پیکر او را برای چهار شبانه‌روز تحویل ندادند و با فشار به خانواده از آن‌ها خواستند فرزندشان را «شهید» و کشته‌شده به دست معترضان معرفی کنند و او را نیز در شهر فسا دفن کنند. خانواده با همه این شروط مخالفت کردند و خواستشان این بود که حتی به قیمت چشم‌پوشی از دریافت پیکر فرزندشان او را همان که بود، یعنی جوانی معترض و باورمند به آزادی، معرفی کنند. در نهایت پیکر او در نخستین ساعات بامدادی دوشنبه ۲۲ دی ۱۴۰۴ با حضور تعدادی از اعضای خانواده و شماری از نیروهای امنیتی، در میان فریادهای دادخواهی مادرش در آرامستان بروجرد به خاک سپرده شد. آریانا دانشجوی روان‌شناسی و جوانی عاشق کتاب خواندن بود. در کنار تحصیل آلمانی یاد می‌گرفت و قصد داشت برای فوق‌لیسانس به آلمان برود. به گزارش هه‌نگاو، آریانا یک مرد همجنسگرا بود و چند ماه پیش از قتل حکومتی خود در رابطه با هویت جنسیتیش با تعدادی از دوستان امن خود صحبت کرده بود. او در زندگی شخصی خود با بسیاری از مصائب کوییرستیزی مواجه بود، اما در تلاش بود به سمت آشکارسازی هویت جنسی برود و دوست داشت که در زمان مناسب دیگران او را با هویت واقعی خودش بشناسند.

After their death

The Islamic Republic, pressuring Ariana's family, demanded that they present their child as a "martyr" killed by protesters. They were also asked to bury their child in the city of Fasa.
