The year 1404 with 155 names makes up more than half of this entire page. The heaviest day is 18 Dey 1404 with 24 names. But in Lorestan lives had been taken a week earlier too: 11 Dey 1404 with 10 names is the second heaviest day. The day 18 Bahman 1404 with 4 names is also in that year. Before that, the year 1396 with 15 names and the days 5 Dey 1394 and 24 Tir 1396 with 3 names each, and the years 1401 and 1402 with 18 and 17 names, are heavy.

11 Dey 1404 in Azna

Ahmadreza Amani, 28 years old, a law graduate of Yazd University, was a trainee lawyer and had ranked first in his quota in the Yazd Bar Association exam in 1403. He was killed in the protests in Azna by a direct bullet. Shayan Asadollahi, 28 years old, was a hairdresser who had become the sole breadwinner of his mother and sister after his father's death; his friends knew him as a passionate Persepolis fan. He was killed by a military round to the abdomen and, according to the source, his body was held for five days.

Reza Moradi, 17 years old, the first child of a working-class family of the Abdolvand clan, had left school and was an apprentice car-body repairer and painter. On the same day, in front of the central police station of Azna, he was hit by two bullets to the head and side, and died on the morning of 15 Dey in a hospital in Aligudarz. A source said about his motive only: “Misery, poverty and high prices.” He was buried in the early hours of 16 Dey without his family present.

Khorramabad and Borujerd

Mohammad Taha Sepahvand, 16 years old, a ninth-grade student, wanted to become “a famous person.” According to the source, he always said: “Die with a good name rather than live in disgrace!” On 19 Dey 1404 on Naser Khosrow Street in Khorramabad he was first brought down with birdshot and then killed by a military round to the chest. Mosayeb Nezami, 32 years old, a farmer and worker in Borujerd, lived with his elderly mother and his sister and supported them; those around him described him as a “noble, aware and family-loving” young man. He was wounded on 18 Dey and, according to the source, was killed in hospital with a “coup de grâce” to the heart. His brother said beside the grave: “I gave my brother as a gift to Iran.”

One execution

Mehdi Ranjkesh, 25 years old, according to the source “had a physical and intellectual disability and was under the care of the State Welfare Organization.” He spent five years without medication or medical services in Parsilon Prison in Khorramabad, and on the day before his execution asked human rights organisations for help in a video message. He was executed in Dey 1394 in the same prison.

About this list

The list of the Javid-Nam in Lorestan province is not complete. The real number of those killed and executed from Khorramabad, Borujerd, Aligudarz and Azna is higher, and we record only a name that has a source. The largest share comes from the Iran Human Rights Society with 121 cases; followed by HRANA with 56, the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center with 53 and HRANA / Human Rights Activists in Iran with 51 cases. Every Lorestan name on this page has at least one source, but some only one. For 25 people a description of their life is available. If you knew one of these 263 people, share your memory or correction with us.
