Mehdi Zarei, 22 years old, was killed on 18 Dey 1401 during the popular protests in the Howz-e Narmak area of Tehran by gunfire from the military-security forces of the Islamic Republic.

The burial ceremony was held on 21 Dey in the village of "Hassanabad", Hamadan.
