The adolescents

Sina Ashkbousi, 17 years old, was a school student. “Sina was an only child and wanted to emigrate to Canada to continue his studies.” He was a fan of Harry Potter, and the source writes: “For Sina's 17th birthday they brought a letter from the ‘Hogwarts’ school.” He was killed on 18 Dey in Tehranpars. Ribin Moradi, 17 years old, “was a player in the Saipa youth team” and was also active in swimming and wrestling; after four days his family found his body in the morgue of Kahrizak. Lives

Raha Bohlouli-Pour, 23 years old, was “a 23-year-old student of Italian language at the University of Tehran.” This sentence of hers remains: “I am very much for life.” On the evening of 18 Dey she was hit by a bullet in the area of Fatemi Square and lost her life the next day. Aida Aghili, 34 years old, embraced her mother before going to the demonstration and told her what to do with her belongings if she did not come back. A piece of her writing remains: “I am a child of this soil.”

Hamid Arzanlou, 43 years old, and his brother Vahid Arzanlou, 38 years old, both managers of “Aysa Mobl Kian,” were killed on 18 Dey 1404; Vahid had rushed to help his wounded brother. The source writes: “The broad strike of 17 Dey in the Delavaran furniture market took shape through the direct efforts of these two brothers.” Hossein Heydari, 50 years old, “a cheerful person who loved to laugh,” was killed in Haft Hoz, and his family recognised him by the boots his daughter had given him as a birthday present. Zanyar had said: “I was ready to accept death but not to return to those conditions.” Loghman had been the breadwinner of the family since adolescence, and his fellow prisoners considered him “kind, patient and good-humoured.” The charge given for him is a charge the authorities stated, not a verdict of guilt.
