One of those close to this 18-year-old boy tells IranWire: "The surgeons' last decision was to amputate his leg to save his life. But despite this decision, given the severity of the injuries on the one hand and the loss of blood, he lost his life on 20 Dey 1404."

سمیرمی، ۱۸ ساله، پنجشنبه ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در اعتراضات مردم شهرضا هدف گلوله مأموران قرار گرفت. طاها نادری سمیرمی، ابتدا از ناحیه شاهرگ ران پا هدف گلوله قرار گرفت. مردم او را به بیمارستان منتقل کردند و پزشکان از ۱۸ تا ۲۰ دی برای نجات او چند عمل جراحی انجام دادند. یکی از نزدیکان این پسر ۱۸ ساله به ایران‌وایر می‌گوید: «آخرین تصمیم جراحان این بود که پای او را برای حفظ جانش قطع کنند. اما با وجود این تصمیم و شدت آسیب‌های وارد شده از یک سو و از دست دادن خون روز ۲۰ دی ۱۴۰۴ جان باخت.»
