Mohammad Abdi, 21 years old, was killed on Thursday, 18 Dey 1404, in the protests in the "Haft-e Tir" area of Mashhad by direct shooting of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic.

According to Haalvsh's sources: "Mohammad Abdi Rigi had gone into the street with one of his close friends to join the protest gatherings when, in the Haft-e Tir area of Mashhad, he was hit in the head by live fire and lost his life on the spot.

Mohammad's family learned of his death early on Friday, 19 Dey 1404, and received his body from "Bagh-e Rezvan" in Mashhad.

According to sources close to this citizen's family: "After the killing of this Baluch student, his family were put under severe security pressure and forced into silence, and his body, after being received from the Behesht-e Rezvan morgue, was buried in Mashhad in silence and without relatives present." With the killing of "Mohammad Abdi Rigi", the number of citizens from Sistan and Baluchestan killed during the suppression of the popular protests has reached at least 18, 16 of whom were Baluch citizens; a figure that, given the securitised atmosphere and restrictions on reporting, is still likely to increase.

به گفته منابع نزدیک به خانواده این شهروند: «پس از کشته‌شدن این دانشجوی بلوچ، خانواده وی تحت فشارهای شدید امنیتی قرار گرفته و ناچار به سکوت شده‌ و پیکر او پس از تحویل از سردخانه بهشت رضوان در سکوت و بدون حضور بستگان در مشهد به خاکسپرده‌ شده است.» با احتساب کشته‌شدن «محمد عبدی ریگی»، شمار شهروندان جان‌باخته اهل سیستان و بلوچستان در جریان سرکوب اعتراضات مردمی به دست‌کم ۱۸ نفر رسیده است که ۱۶ تن از آنان شهروندان بلوچ بوده‌اند؛ آماری که با توجه به فضای امنیتی و محدودیت‌های اطلاع‌رسانی، احتمال افزایش آن همچنان وجود دارد.
