Reza Kavousi, a 16-year-old Kurdish teenager, lost his life during the popular protests in the Shahin Villa area of Karaj after being hit in the chest by a live round. After this teenager was killed, the security forces accompanied the process of handing over the body with pressure on the family and asked them to present him as a "Basij member". The family opposed this request, and 750 million tomans was taken from them for the handover of the body. Reza Kavousi's body was taken to his birthplace and buried in the city of Quchan. The handover of the body and the burial ceremony of this victim were also accompanied by pressure and interference by the security forces, and the family were forced to accept the imposed conditions.
