13 Dey 1404 in Malekshahi
On 13 Dey 1404, several people were killed by live military rounds in the town of Malekshahi. Mohammadreza Karami, 16 years old, was a boxer. According to the source, he was severely wounded on that day in the protests in Malekshahi by a military round and lost his life after four days in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Ilam. At the top of this teenager's death notice they had written: “For which sin?”
Reza Azimzadeh, 31 years old, a bodybuilder and single, and Mehdi Emamipour, a single young man, were also killed on the same day in Malekshahi. The source says that both died hours after reaching medical centres. Reza was buried in the Malekshahi cemetery next to his mother. Latif Karimi, 59 years old, a retired IRGC brigadier general, was also killed on the same day. According to the source, he was present at the gathering as a protester and was hit by a bullet while trying to stop the shooting at protesters. In mourning him, this sentence has been quoted: “You work yourself to death for this country for thirty-odd years, and then they kill you with the hands of your own colleagues.”

About this list
The list of the Javid-Nam in Ilam province is not complete. The real number of those killed and executed from Ilam, Malekshahi and Badreh is higher, and we record only a name that has a source. The largest share of these 109 names comes from the Iran Human Rights Society with 48 cases; followed by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network with 41, the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center with 20, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (English-language) with 21 and HRANA with 19 cases. Kurdpa has also reported 12 names. Every Ilam name on this page has at least one source, but some come from only one report. For 15 people a description of their life is available. If you knew one of these 109 people, share your memory or correction with us.
