Mahsa (Jina) Amini, 22 years old, had been admitted in the year 1401 to study microbiology at the University of Urmia. She had only one brother, Ashkan, who was four years younger than her. The source writes: “She always said my only goal is to serve people; I would like to awaken people's souls from sleep.” She was also interested in radio presenting and practised at home. On 22 Shahrivar 1401 she was arrested in Tehran by the morality police, and less than two hours later she arrived at the hospital with signs of brain death. She lost her life on 25 Shahrivar 1401. Her father has said: “Her place will never be filled for me. I am her father.”
